I've been told I know a good story when I see one. I like to think that has something to do with one of the first things I learned in journalism, that everyone has a story worth telling. Click around for some random samplings of my stories.
Since getting my first professional writing job in 1985, I've worked as a reporter and editor at weekly and daily newspapers and as an editor for a publisher of business-computer magazines. I've chronicled everything from the actions of city councils and school boards to the technology that fuels the world's most powerful computers to the feelings of people—including people who've run marathons, survived a plane crash or performed in a '60s pop band. As a freelancer, I'm currently focusing on editing projects and my syndicated fantasy football column.
